Privacy policy — Henkan Variant

Henkan Variant lets you prototype changes on web pages you open by describing what you want to change. Claude, provided by Anthropic, generates the code, which is applied in your own browser.

Only when you make a request in the side panel, the extension processes:

• The URL and title of the current page.
• A description of its visual design: CSS variables, fonts, colours, the structure of the visible page and the HTML of elements you selected.
• A screenshot of the visible tab.
• Your text request, typed or dictated.
• Any mockup images you attach.

This information is sent to Anthropic’s Claude API to generate the change: either directly using your own API key, or through the Henkan Variant app at variant.henkanpartners.ai when you connect the extension with a personal token.

When connected, variants, conversations, generated code and before/after screenshots are stored in your workspace in the app, hosted on Lovable Cloud, so you and your team can find them again.

Only when you request ideas, a screenshot of the selected area and a description of the change are sent to OpenAI, our service provider for generating Ideas mode visuals.

Claude may perform web searches to inform its suggestions. Search queries are sent to Anthropic.

Voice dictation uses Google Chrome’s built-in speech recognition, only while the microphone button is active.

If you optionally provide a Figma link, the frame image is fetched from Figma’s API using your own Figma token.

Your settings (API key, token and preferences) are stored locally in your browser using chrome.storage. They are never sent to Henkan, except for the personal token used to authenticate to the Henkan Variant app.

For client accounts, Henkan records sign-in times, approximate location (country and city, derived from the IP address), browser and device type, and which product features are used, in order to manage access and support the client relationship. This data is kept by Henkan in Henkan Account and is never sold.

We do not sell your data. The extension contains no advertising and does not track your browsing. It does nothing on a page until you open the panel and make a request. Data is not used to determine creditworthiness or for lending.

Data in the app is kept while the workspace exists. You can delete variants and request account deletion by contacting alex@henkanpartners.com.
